D'Arcy was born the 2nd of July 2009. On the 17th of September, she was married to her life-long sweetheart, Spencer, one of the truly great hamster intellectuals of all time. The two of them had one litter of eleven babies. Spencer died in his sleep on the 18th of June 2010. Then to compound her sorrow, her beloved daughter, Sharkie, passed away four months later after a mysterious illness. But D'Arcy never let her sadness disintegrate into despair. |
D'Arcy handles the logistics of the campaign, making sure everything is where it's supposed to be when it's supposed to be there. She handles scheduling and appointments and refers major campaign decisions to a consensus vote. She describes her role as having "a thousand little things to do but nothing big." Others describe her as the one who makes all things possible, the glue that holds together both the campaign organization and the family. |
he matriarch of the Hamster For President family is the stoic, gentle, wise D'Arcy. Always happy to work in the background, she craves only the affection of her beloved grandchildren. Of all her 22 grandchildren, three live in the same apartment (Limood, Sozo and Beetle), five more stay at the National Capital Area campaign office (Fuzzball, Bubble, Strangelet, Spook and Phantom), and another (April) keeps in touch from Ohio.
